A serene place to call home!
Though its name conjures images of the sixties, Woodstock, Georgia is a far cry from the festival that bears its name. Woodstock, located in Cherokee County, is approximately 30 miles outside the city of Atlanta, which is far enough for residents to bask in their peaceful surroundings. This city, which was once known only for its connection to the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Line, also known as the L&N, is now a place where nature lovers can rejoice.
Woodstock is located near Lake Allatoona, which contains over 12,000 acres of surface water, and allows the residents of Woodstock and surrounding areas to enjoy nature in all of its varieties. Beautiful Lake Allatoona has over 250 miles of coastline.Residents can picnic, hunt, camp, boat, fish and everything in between in the miles of park land that await.
Though Lake Allatoona brings visitors in droves, Woodstock is probably most famous for its golf courses.
