The city of Milton, Georgia, located in northeast Fulton County, became a city on December 1, 2006 with 86% of residents voting in favor. With a population of approximately 20,000 and +/- 23,000 acres of land, Milton is going to give some of the other Georgian cities a run for their money.

The citizens of Milton have a chance to begin their city with a clean slate and the first item on their agenda is the Milton Department of Public Safety. With a new police force and fire department, the entire city is shaping the Department of Public Safety into a creative task force. In fact, the decals on the new police cars were designed by Milton High School students. There's no doubt this type of cooperative behavior will help Milton grow into a truly amazing city in other respects as well. The city of Milton's city hall is open weekdays for business at Building 100, Deerfield Professional Centre, 13000 Deerfield Parkway, just off Windward Parkway at Georgia Route 400 (Exit 11).

Milton High School is known throughout the area for several reasons.  The school was named by Newsweek as one of the 1,200 top-ranking public high schools in the country.  To add to the list, the Milton High School girls lacrosse team, is the best in the state for 2 years running.  Milton residents will be sure to keep these traditions, as well as many others, going strong.
