Northwestern Middle School - Rated by GreatSchools.org as a "10" in the Milton / Alpharetta / Johns Creek middle schools in the Fulton County School District in Georgia.
Students at Northwestern Middle School (grades 6, 7 and 8) excel in ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) scores involving reading, math, language, social studies and science. Also, Northwestern's Georgia Middle School Writing Scores continuously exceed test score results within the state of Georgia. CRCT (Criterion-Referenced competency Tests) scores are also well above the Georgia averages. In addition, Northwestern does have a TAG Department which administers and maintains the Talented and Gifted Program. Comprehensive Intramural and Extramural Sports and Activities Programs offer, but are not limited to volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, flag football, tumbling and tennis.
Clubs at Northwestern Middle School include: Environmental Awareness Club, Art and Creative Club, French Club, Math Club, Literary Magazine Club, Spanish Club, Stock Market Club, Thespian Club, Broadcast Club and the Beta Club.
The Connection Program includes General Music, Art, Orchestra, Band, Diversified Technology, computer Literacy and Chorus.
